Classes Taught:  

Computer 1 (7th/8th Grade); Physical Education (9th Grade);  Health (9th Grade);  Elementary Physical Education (1st – 5th Grade);  Bible (11th/12th Grade);  Coach – Varsity Soccer and Junior High Basketball.

 

Overall Objective – To participate in the discipleship process of every student through instruction, relationships and activities.

 

Computer 1 – The goal of Computer 1 is the mastery of keyboarding skills by learning and practicing proper keyboarding technique.   The class also serves as and introduction to Microsoft Office Software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.

 

Secondary Physical Education – The goals of Physical Education at the Junior High and High School level include are as follows:  The establishing of a routine of physical activity to improve physical fitness, developing proper attitudes and sportsmanship, developing leadership abilities within the context of fitness and sports.

 

Elementary Physical Education – The goal of Elementary Physical education is for the student to develop self control within the context of physical activity.   Hand-eye coordination, balance, game techniques,  personal discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship are all emphasized.

Health – Secondary Health serves as an introduction to Health in every area of life, physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual.   There is an emphasis on finding proper balance in all areas of life and applying Biblical principals to all of the choices a person makes.

 

Bible -  This year in 11th/12th grade Bible we are studying the book of Genesis first semester and the book of Revelation 2nd semester.  We will study Genesis as being foundational to all Bible doctrine from creation to salvation.  There will be an emphasis on the big picture of Scripture and the unity of the entire Bible.   The study of Revelation will include an overview of church history and the study of end times prophecy.

 

Grading:
Computer 1:  60% Daily Classwork, 40% Timing and Technique Quizzes

9th Grade PE – 33% Class Participation;  33% Attitude and Sportsmanship; 34% Fulfilling of Class requirements.

Health – 60% Daily Classwork, 40% Tests and Quizzes

Bible – 30%  Weekly Verse Quizzes; 30% Tests;  40%  Classwork and Projects.
