Elementary Merit System
Proverbs 3:27 “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due . . .”

Students in grades 1-6 who do excellent work, complete assignments on time and have perfect attendance are not often rewarded in a special way. The Merit System is a way of keeping track of such good work and allowing the student to earn a special reward at the end of each quarter. All students begin each quarter with the maximum number of points. These are deducted according to the chart below. Those students who maintain the number of points required for their age group are treated to a special activity at the end of the quarter.
